About Lisa

Lisa Grant is an award-winning writer who resides in the La Crosse, WI area with her family.  She specializes in parenting and family life articles, particularly regarding teenagers.

Lisa has worked in youth ministry since 1996, and currently serves as a speaker and small group leader in her local church.  In 2002, she founded PARENtEEN, a nonprofit online group designed to bridge the gap between Christian parents and their teens.

In 2006, she was invited to join the Coulee Parenting Connection magazine writing team.  She began by contributing articles on financial matters and eventually became the teen expert when the magazine expanded.

From 2007-2008, Lisa served as a community columnist for her local newspaper, the La Crosse Tribune.  She wrote on a number of social issues affecting the people of the Coulee Region, sparking plenty of conversation about topics like marriage, music, and how we treat one another.

Lisa’s writing draws on her own personal experiences in raising teens, as well as her 20 years of youth work.  In 2010, she was recognized with a Gold Award from the Parenting Publications of America for her “Teen Times” column.

Lisa also enjoys a faithful following of her personal blog, which often reflects her personal faith journey.

When she is not writing, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading.  She and husband Dan have been married for 23 years, when they became a blended family.  They have three incredible children (Jeremy, Kelsey, and Emma), one beautiful daughter-in-law (Colleen), two adorable grandchildren (Aiden and Elise), and one furry beagle child, Hunter.
